The Makery is a social creative hub in Bath where people can go and learn new resourceful skills, in a friendly, relaxed space.
Task: To create a brand identity and Makeaway kits packaging.
Solution: The Makery typography reflects a hand drawn quality balanced with the scripty 'The' gives the brand a lovely sense of found. The bird, Plumes, is a great icon for the home maker and also identified as a resourceful creature. I created Plumes with a patchwork of feathers which illustrates the nature of the 'make do and mend' revolution.
The kits are presented in a take-away box which demonstrates the resourcefulness of the brand. Each kit has an illustration and accents of colour
to clearly navigate the range.
A range of global gourmet salts for the dinner table.
Task: To create a brand identity, core packaging and gift pack,
to inject some desire into a stagnant category.
Solution: The strong stamp logo reflects the travel aspect and quality of the salts. The vibrant mix and match colour palette 'pops' on shelf, feels fresh, exciting and relevant to the rich cultural differences each of the salts brings to the range.
Bird friendly certified, ethically grown, organic canopy coffee.
Task: Brand Identity and Packaging.
Solution: The logo created feels organic and earthy, it feels like it is moving and growing into the world around, feeling premium and considered.
A forest clearing on pack reflects the expanse of the natural rainforest where the beans are grown, creating a glimpse of Bird & Wild's origin and a ticket to escapism.
'Man-bird' is integral to the logo and is a great equity to be used to animate on other levels of communication.

Task: Brand creation, logo, voice, packaging and Boom Box gift set.
Solution: The logo reflects big, bold, vibrant colours
and pace of product. Strong pack architecture allows for easy variant
navigation and eventual brand stretch into other world cuisines.
Cafe Italia Ristorante Pizzeria offers freshly prepared authentic Italian food. Positioned right on the seafront in Westward Ho! It was really important to communicate the hand-made quality of everything they do. To reflect the casual, warm friendly environment they effortlessly create. The hand drawn typography of the ident and menu design, successfully reinforce their core values.
